Today, I’m happy to announce that I launched my second Call to Action as part the Family Review. The Family Review is a major, Independent Review of modern family life, commissioned by Government to hear directly from children and parents, to understand the composition of families and what can be done to improve family services going forward.
We received a great response to our first Call to Action, which asked children directly about what family means to them. We received 3,700 responses about thoughts and feelings on family.
This month, I have launched a second Call to Action, this time to hear the voices of parents of young children aged 0-4 years old. In this short survey, we ask parents about where they go for parenting advice and resources, whether there has been a particular time when more parenting support would have been helpful, and we ask parents to describe their ideal family support centre.
We’re also asking parents to encourage their young children to draw their family and send us a picture of the drawing, which could be featured in the Family Review!
We know how important early years are for children’s outcomes and how challenging this period can be for new parents. We want to hear from you about the support you need when raising young children.
