Young people often think the screen industries are inaccessible to them. They find it hard to know where to start and training is expensive. The London Screen Academy (LSA), a new sixth form will change this. Opening in September 2019, LSA is here to open up the screen industries to London’s young people, and what’s more – it’s free!

You will learn the skills and background knowledge needed to join the screen industries (which include film and television), to progress to higher education or to enter other professions.

Now is also the best time to join the creative and screen industries as they are among the fastest growing sectors of our economy. In London alone, the creative industries account for one in six jobs. Comfortingly, many of these jobs are future proof as 87% of creative occupations are at low risk of automation.

LSA’s courses are project based and students will spend two years exploring the key areas of the screen industries. Alongside this they will study English, maths and an enrichment programme so that they are fully equipped to find their way in the world once they complete their studies with us.

If you think the London Screen Academy could be for you, you can find out more and apply to start in September 2019 on their website.
