Freya spent her teenage years moving around the care system. In this video, she talks openly and honestly about her experiences of trauma. Trauma is a scary word but Freya is hoping to break down that stigma in the hope of making everyone’s lives a little bit easier. Here she talks about how trauma can affect young people in care, why she dislikes the media’s representation of children in foster care, and the importance of changing our mindsets towards care leavers.
