Anne Longfield, Children’s Commissioner for England, said:
“The findings that around 1 in 4 children and young people are denied access to care reflects my own research published earlier this year. I also found that more than a third of trusts, around 35%, said they would restrict access to services for children who missed appointments.
“Helping to improve children’s mental health is a top priority and one that needs to be on everyone’s agenda nationally and locally.”
