Anne Longfield, Children’s Commissioner for England, said:
“Any child who goes missing is exposed to a myriad of dangers and those who are separated from their parents and away from home are particularly vulnerable.
“These are important findings that I will be following up. It is crucial that police and social workers work together to reduce risks and prevent children from going missing. If they do they must act quickly to find and protect them as quickly as possible”.
