Anne Longfield, Children’s Commissioner for England said:
“I would like to send her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II my warmest wishes and to congratulate her on becoming our longest serving monarch. During her 63 years on the throne her Majesty has shown unstinting dedication and commitment to improving children’s lives in the UK and further afield. In her first public speech the Queen expressed sympathy for British children fleeing the Second World War and her work on behalf children and young people has continued ever since through patronage of some of our most important and high profile children’s charities.”
