Commenting on the Children’s Society’s Good Childhood report 2015 Anne Longfield, Children’s Commissioner for England said:

“Children tell us of high levels of anxiety from 24/7 communications, unattainable celebrity lifestyles, bullying, and the pressure of schools and exams. This report is important because it shows we score poorly against many other countries in relation to wellbeing. The reasons may be complex but we need to get to grips with them as a nation. It is time for us to tackle the things that make children in England unhappier than their peers elsewhere in the world. Combatting childhood anxiety is a major priority for me and will be a core aspect my work in the coming year.”
