Anne Longfield, Children’s Commissioner for England said:

“I would like to congratulate the thousands of students who received their A’ level results today and wish them the very best for the future, whatever their plans. The summer A’ levels are an important milestone for many, marking the end of their schooldays.

“I am pleased that so many students have received their first choice of university place or vocational training. I encourage all schools to support young people who did not get the results they wanted, so they have as much support as possible for a smooth transition from sixth form.”
