Care to listen?<\/a> is a podcast series created by teens in care and care leavers, with help from Five Rivers<\/a> fostering agency.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Listen in to this powerful series to hear first-hand experiences of what it’s really like to live and work in the care system. Each podcast has been researched, recorded and edited by teens in care, with the aim of dispelling some of the most common myths about being in care, reducing stigma and supporting positive change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this episode, Stuart Haden from Investing in Children<\/a> talks about how things have changed since the days he was in care in the 1970s and 80s. We hear how important it is for placements to be stable to avoid breaking down. Stuart, now a grandfather, is a co-director of Investing in Children, an organisation committed to championing the rights of children and young people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
