New Director of Strategy for the Children’s Commissioner top team
Leading social policy advisor, Alice Miles is joining the Children’s Commissioner’s team as Director of Strategy, bringing a wealth of experience gained at the heart of Government and the media.
Alice was senior policy advisor to the Secretary of State for Education and Minister for Children and Families from 2012 – 2015 focusing on child protection and social work reform. For the last year she has been senior policy advisor to the Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State for Justice.
Former associate Editor for the Times, columnist for the New Statesman and barrister, Alice replaces Alex Burghart who has joined the Prime Minister’s Office to lead on social justice at Number 10.
