Children's Plan - First anniversary
11 December 2008
Speaking on the first anniversary of the Government's Children's Plan, Sir Al Aynsley-Green, the Children's Commissioner for England, said:
"There has been excellent progress since the publication of the Children's Plan one year ago. The Government's commitment to making this country the best place in the world to grow up is clear to see. The substantial investment in play and the pledge to improve the children and young people's workforce are two excellent examples of this.
"I look forward to working with Government, the voluntary sector and children and young people. This is the first step on the road to 2020 and we all recognise there is still much to be done to turn these aspirations into reality."
